Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) offers working adults and lifelong learners a fair and rigorous route back into higher education. Through APEL.A, candidates without the usual entry qualifications can gain admission to diploma, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes. Through APEL.C, prior learning can be recognised for course credit, which shortens the time needed to graduate. These pathways follow the standards set by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
As an entrepreneurial university, UMK values the experience that practitioners, entrepreneurs and professionals bring with them. APEL candidates add industry insight and real-world perspective to our programmes and they benefit our students and academic community.
